MIT App Inventor on iOS
A few years ago, when I wanted to get started on writing mobile apps, I came across MIT App Inventor which is a click and drag interface for building Android programs. I was very impressed with their offering and wrote several simple apps including "Find my car" and a battery monitor.
I recently received an email from them saying they are crowd funding an effort to extend their development platform to iOS. I thought this was such a good idea, I sent them some money.
